Our control room is staffed by experienced and qualified controllers and is on site at our Leixlip Headquarters. This is staffed 24hours a day seven days a week., with a default to a back-up pager system in the event of phones system failure.

Lifeline is the only ambulance service in Ireland to have a GPRS satellite tracking installed on each vehicle, which continuously archives a range of journey parameters.

Stored data includes:

• Start and stop times (ignition on/off)
• Idling time
• Route taken
• Speed of travel vs speed limit
• Excessive braking

The system allows for real time tracking of every vehicle and is used by control to assist with the efficient deployment of vehicles. The System is also configured to monitor all blue light activations and can be set to allow clients controlled web-based access to our tracking screen to enable them to independently monitor call-related activity for contracted vehicles.
